Description
Many authors come into writing books without having thought through the important aspects of marketing and branding of themselves as authors but also the content of their books. As writing the book effectively can be only 6-8 months, the marketing and selling of the book last indefinitely. Giving the book legs involves strategizing in advance as to what will be the strongest selling points for the book. Guest Speaker, Author and Coach, Andrea DeWitt has just released her book Name, Claim & Reframe: Your Path to a Well-Lived Life and will talk about what she did to step into a greater position of promotion power.
In this month’s SIG, we will dive into:
- The elusive mystery of what it means to be an author
- Setting yourself up for success/Testing the market
- Understanding your book platform in advance
- Setting realistic expectations
