A moderated panel of Latine Coaches to discuss their journeys and perspectives and provide insights from experiences and perspectives for coaches to understand the community and their needs better.
Being an inclusive leader can open many opportunities for coaches. This panel discussion is designed to help you better understand the Latine community and increase your level of comfort in working with and helping your clients who are Latina/o.
About Graciela Meibar
Graciela G. Meibar is an executive coach (PCC) with 30 years of corporate experience and 20 years in line management and senior management and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; her expertise is in connecting people, business development, and problem-solving. She is a senior executive with a proven record of accomplishments in business development, people management, relationship management, and building and launching new initiatives. She is a global thought leader on DEI and works diligently to promote inclusion, appreciate diversity, and search for equity. Graciela is bilingual and bicultural and has a global perspective on people, business, and organizations. She is a certified coach from The Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and ICFLA. She serves as a Program Director for the DEI councils at The Conference Board.
About Dr. Joel Pérez
Dr. Joel Pérez is an executive and leadership coach, speaker, and consultant. He is passionate about helping leaders and organizations achieve their goals and develop a posture of cultural humility so they can have an impact and create the culture they desire.
Joel is the owner of Apoyo Coaching and Consulting, LLC, and a Professionally Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Prior to launching Apoyo Coaching and Consulting, Dr. Perez held several positions with colleges and universities for over 20 years. He has a certification in the MBTI, is a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), is a Gallup Strengths Certified Coach, and is a certified coach through the Academy of Creative Coaching. He has over 20 years of experience in higher education, serving in various key leadership roles.
About Gina Rodriguez
Gina is a bilingual Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Purpose Guide™. She has 25+ years of working in education equity with vast experience in strategy development and systems change. She has treated her life and career as a journey of self-discovery. This is what led her to coaching. Her mission is to help people pursue their lives with greater clarity, purpose, and passion.
While managing her growing coaching business, Gina also works for First 5 LA, a leading children’s advocacy organization in Los Angeles County. As a Coro Fellow in Los Angeles, she studied public policy formation and organizational development. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from UCLA and is currently a member of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) committee for ICFLA. GINA coaches clients for Modern Health, a well-being and personal growth platform, and is a Mentor for students at the Purpose Guide Institute.
