Description
Making decisions is a routine aspect of workplace responsibilities. Despite our belief in logical decision-making, emotions frequently guide our choices. Anxiety, in particular, can influence our decisions and disrupt our best-laid plans. This session will delve into the decision-making process, examining the role of emotions and how habits can be leveraged to enhance the process. We will focus on understanding anxiety, its function, and strategies to manage it to foster hopefulness and improve decision-making. These insights will equip us as coaches to assist our clients in managing anxiety and using emotional intelligence to become more effective decision-makers.
Attendees will:
- Discover new tools to help clients build awareness of their decision-making processes, both the strengths and challenges, and identify more options in decision-making
- Examine the pros and cons of anxiety in the decision-making process
- Acquire new skills to help clients achieve flow and use play to improve decisions and reduce anxiety
- Learn new methods to support clients in embracing discomfort to act with intention
About Desiree Briel Rodi
Desiree Briel Rodi is an ACC-certified coach who harnesses the power of Emotional Intelligence to drive awareness, action, and accountability. She has worked in higher education administration, non-profit management, and people & business strategy. Desiree holds a B.A. in Art and in American Studies from Yale University, an MBA from Seattle University, where she has assisted with graduate leadership courses, a Certificate in Evidence-Based Coaching, and an MA in Organizational Development and Change from Fielding Graduate University, where she is now pursuing a Ph.D.
