Schedule Day 1:
8:30 – 8:45 Welcome (CCEs: .25 Resource Development)
8:45 – 10:00 Michael Stratford, Respect for Uniqueness: The Ultimate Expression of Honoring Diversity (CCEs: 1.0 Core Competencies, .25 Resource Development)
In the coaching profession, the Keystone Principle is the recognition of the uniqueness of the client. This includes all the things that are part of the client’s world, context, life experiences, values, beliefs, and more. If we truly honor Diversity, we must recognize and leverage this awareness. The Core Competencies point the way to do this. This presentation will highlight those competencies and invite the coach to have the statement ‘seek first to understand’ be the default setting in their Mindset.
10:00 – 10:15 Break
10:15 – 11:30 Carly Anderson, How to Respond to Clients Asking for Advice While Still Meeting ICF Coaching Ethics and Standards (CCEs: 1.25 Core Competencies)
Many Coaches, especially those working for and within corporations, are consistently asked for their advice. Or it is expected they give advice as part of the coaching process. This is a challenge that is addressed repeatedly in the Core Competencies. To give advice is to go against the ICF Code of Ethics. So, what can you do? How to handle it? The Core Competencies provide clear guidelines. This presentation will provide a number of ways to respond and include opportunities to explore in break-out rooms and debrief together in the main room.
11:30 – 11:45 Break
11:45 – 1:00 Merle McKinley, Using Somatics to Deepen Your Presence (CCEs: 1.0 Core Competencies, .25 Resource Development)
Presence requires that we as coaches pay attention to multiple sources of “information” – what the client is saying and not saying, our own thoughts, and then our intuition. How can we as coaches learn to listen to these multiple sources and find our question or reflection that supports the client in discovering something new about themselves or the situation they are bringing to the coaching engagement? This is an interactive session that includes role-play and self-discovery.
1:00 – 1:30 Debrief / Networking / Closing (CCEs: .5 Resource Development)
Schedule Day 2:
8:30 – 8:45 Welcome (CCEs: .25 Resource Development)
8:45 – 10:00 Carrie Williams, Intentional Community: Creating a Network That Empowers and Elevates (CCEs: 0.75 Core Competencies, .5 Resource Development)
In this presentation, we will discuss what it means to create our own challenge community and how to build a network that calls us forward and helps us be our best selves. We will also learn how to grow and maintain our network and professional relationships authentically and with integrity in a way that supports and encourages every member.
10:00 – 10:15 Break
10:15 – 11:30 Damian Goldvarg and Diana Ideus, MCC Demo: A Credential Passing Session (CCEs: 1.25 Core Competencies)
In this interactive session facilitated by ICF MCC Assessor Damian Goldvarg, MCC Diana Ideus shares a coaching session that passed at the MCC level. Participants will share their reactions and develop clarity around ICF expectations for recordings at the MCC level.
11:30 – 11:45 Break
11:45 – 1:15 Fran Fisher, Shining LIGHT on MCC Behavioral Statements (CCEs: 1.0 Core Competencies, .5 Resource Development)
As an ICF MCC Assessor and Mentor, Fran will provide an insider introduction to the new MCC performance evaluation system that is currently utilized by the ICF MCC assessors. The new system includes individual Behavioral Statements under each Core Competency and the BARS rating system for each statement. The program will be a highly interactive learning environment and include a 10-minute video DEMO.
1:15 – 1:30 Wrap-Up and Appreciation (CCEs: .25 Resource Development)
