Description
This Special DEI Event is a journey in which you will gain insight on moving from microaggressions to microaffirmations. In this interactive session, we will explore the dimensions of microaggressions, including the intent and impact associated with them. We will also explore appropriate ways to respond, including microaffirmations. Our journey from microaggressions to microaffirmations is aimed to evoke your awareness, enhance your coaching mindset, and cultivate trust and safety.
Takeaways from the Event:
- Learn the history of microaggression and how to identify them
- Increase understanding of intent versus impact and perception versus “lived experience.”
- Recognize microaggressions and coach toward inclusionary attitudes and behaviors.
- Understand and navigate toward microaffirmations.
