Remember to login before registering for the event. \n  \n\nDescription \n\nPlease join Ellen and Desiree Briel Rodi as they discuss The Brain Science of Overcoming Fear – This will be both a continuation of the conversation with James Garrett from the Emotional Intelligence SIG and a new and different perspective from Desiree’s experience as a coach. They will provide a brief overview of James Garrett’s research and will then discuss practical tools and coaching situations related to fear. \nKey Learnings:\n– Recognize and acknowledge fear in self and others to support clients to build this awareness\n– Learn and practice tools to support clients to overcome fear\n– Discuss tools and practices for using the science of fear in coaching to co-design action plans \n\n  \nAbout Ellen Cohen\, Ellen Cohen\, J.D\, CPCC\, PCC\, CPQC \nEllen Cohen\, J.D\, CPCC\, PCC\, CPQC\, is an executive coach certified by CTI and the International Coach Federation (ICF) and is an enhanced practitioner in Conversational Intelligence (CIQ). She focuses her coaching on senior executives and lawyers across industries (e.g.\, banking\, pharmaceuticals\, cosmetics\, consulting\, entertainment and healthcare) to enhance their professional impact\, build high-performance skills\, and cultivate wellbeing and resilience.  Prior to becoming a coach\, Ellen spent over 20 years as an entertainment attorney in business affairs at Disney\, Showtime\, Sony\, Fox\, and Microsoft. She also holds certifications in yoga\, meditation\, reiki\, and breathwork. She received her BA from Brandeis University and her JD from Emory University School of Law. \n  \nAbout Desiree Briel Rodi\, ACC \n\n\n\n\nDesiree Briel Rodi is an ACC certified coach who harnesses the power of Emotional Intelligence to drive awareness\, action\, and accountability. She has worked in higher education administration\, non-profit management\, and people & business strategy. Desiree holds a B.A. in Art and in American Studies from Yale University\, an MBA from Seattle University\, where she has assisted with graduate leadership courses\, and a Certificate in Evidence-Based Coaching and MA in Organizational Development and Change from Fielding Graduate University\, where she is now pursuing a Ph.D. \n\n\n\n\n  \n \n
