From the time we were children, most of us were taught to avoid and abhor failure. That belief system flies in the fact that failure is inevitable, and can be amplified even more so in these disruptive COVID-19 times. While popular literature, podcasts, and blogs espouse the platitudes of "celebrating and learning from failure," these provide little guidance or tools to navigate very human reactions with the realities of managing through failures.

Learning how to effectively answer the question, "So what do you do," can be the first step towards a successful client relationship. Learning how to talk about coaching in an engaging way can lead to conversations and contacts. This SIG will focus on helping coaches sharpen their conversational skills with potential clients and at networking meetings all while teaching them a technique that Gretchen Hydo developed when she was in PR.
As we prepare to launch the Emotional Intelligence SIG, we want to connect with you and hear your voices as we build this new community. We sent out a survey and asked you to tell us what you'd like to see in this new EI SIG. We are GRATEFUL for the responses and would like to share them with everyone interested in this SIG, as well as what you might expect as we move forward.
